About Kjersti
Washington, D.C. is my favorite U.S. city. I have visited the city many times since I was a kid. I also spent a semester living there while studying in the Spring 2006 Washington Semester Program at American University. After that semester I went back to University of Arizona to finish my degree in May 2007. In September 2007, I got a job in the D.C. area and live there now.
My favorite thing about D.C. is the museums. I especially love the free ones. My favorite museum is the National Museum of American History. I cannot wait to see it again after it reopens from its renovation in the Summer of 2008.

Some of my interests include traveling, bowling, soapmaking, writing, reading, photography, and video games. Also, I am very interested in Antarctica. It is the only place in the world I love more than D.C. I went there with Students on Ice back in December 2004 and am working on getting a writer’s grant to go down there and write a children’s photo book series called Postcards from Antarctica.
