Special Topic Tuesday: D.C. by Foot

City by Foot offers free walking tours of D.C. every day. They start Tuesday through Sunday at 6pm at the Washington Monument. The tour lasts about an hour and 15 minutes and ends at the Lincoln Memorial. These free tours will continue to take place until November 20, 2007. Throughout the tour the guides tell about the monuments including giving interesting facts. The guides work for tips, so if they do a good job and you learn new interesting things be sure to tip accordingly. The company also offers reasonable rates for private group tours throughout the city. Certainly a great way for classrooms as well as conference goers to get a fun look at the monuments on the Mall.
