Windows to Wonderland Opens Tomorrow

by

This year’s holiday exhibit at the National Botanic Gardens is called “Windows to Wonderland.” This exhibit opens tomorrow, November 27, 2008. The exhibit is supposed to entertain visitors when the gardens are open and when the gardens are closed. The exhibit includes a train display with the trains going through Fairy Tail Trails, Santa’s Village, Secret Mountain, Castle Mountain, Caterpillar Garden, and Gremlin Corner. The trains are an outside display (at least they were last year) and this is the part I think is available to view until 11pm each evening. In the Conservatory’s Garden Court they have the miniature D.C. landmark buildings made out of plant materials on display. On Tuesday and Thursday evenings the National Botanic Gardens are open late until 8pm with live performances featuring holiday music. “Windows to Wonderland” is expected to remain on display until January 4, 2008.
